Segmental Analysis and Sarcopenia Screening
To address Japan’s aging population, 2026 models feature advanced Segmental Analysis. Instead of treating the body as a single cylinder, the technology measures the five segments (right arm, left arm, trunk, right leg, left leg) independently.
Skeletal Muscle Index (SMI): This specific metric is used to screen for Sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss).
Preventive Logic: If the SMI in the lower limbs falls below critical thresholds—typically $7.0\text{ kg/m}^2$ for men—the device automatically flags a "fall risk" and suggests targeted resistance training.
